Vision
To become the global standard for user-generated news content, where every piece of footage captured at the scene of a story finds its way to the journalists who need it, with full authenticity intact.
How it began
1) Eyewitness videos are among the most powerful content in journalism, but finding, verifying, and licensing them can take days, long after the news cycle has moved on.
2) Witnesses risk their lives to document events and upload footage to social media, where it gets buried by algorithms and content moderation before journalists ever find it.
3) Sarah Ibrahim and Carl Klink spent a decade at BBC and AFP respectively watching this problem repeat itself with no structural solution in sight.
How it's going
1) Proof of concept validated, with a working heat map pipeline and early contributors active across the Middle East and Africa.
2) Media partnerships with European journalists in progress, with active pipeline development underway.
3) Pre-seed round of 150,000 euros raised through friends and family, with angel investor conversations ongoing.
