Augment
About
Augment is a Luxembourg-based proptech company digitizing buildings through BIM modeling, laser scanning, and IoT integration. Its platform, Wiretwin, gives facility managers a real-time digital twin of their buildings, automating maintenance, tracking assets, and reducing operational costs. Serving airports, hotels, and commercial facilities across Europe, the GCC, and Africa, Augment turns undocumented buildings into smart, data-driven assets.
Augment's profile
Mission
To bring facility management into the digital age by giving building owners and operators a complete, accurate digital twin of their facilities and the tools to manage them efficiently.
Vision
To become the leading digital twin and facility management platform for commercial real estate operators globally, starting with Europe and expanding into the GCC as BIM adoption becomes a regulatory requirement across the region.
How it began
1) 70 to 80 percent of buildings worldwide have no digital plans, making maintenance expensive, error-prone, and dependent on institutional memory that disappears when people leave.
2) Rida Klink worked in facility management and experienced firsthand how the absence of accurate building documentation turned routine tasks into costly guesswork.
3) The technology to solve it, BIM modeling, laser scanning, and IoT sensors, already existed. What was missing was a platform that combined all three into a single, accessible workflow.
How it's going
1) ONOMO Hotels, which owns and operates 25 hotels, has signed on as a client, with an energy management module in development targeting a 25 percent reduction in energy costs.
2) A partnership with Georgia Tech gives the platform academic validation and direct access to the next generation of facility management professionals.
3) Saudi Arabia and the UAE have both begun mandating BIM as the required handover format for construction projects, creating a regulatory tailwind that puts Augment directly in the path of mandatory adoption across the GCC.
